My jewelry is available from Alchemy 9.2.5 Contemporary Jewelry and Fine Craft Gallery, Belmont, MA. Not all available pieces are shown on their website, so please make an inquiry if you are interested in any of the pieces shown below (click the Alchemy 9.2.5 logo button above to contact Alchemy 9.2.5).
Note: Since Facebook and Instagram make it easier to upload photos, my newer work can be seen there. The photos shown below represent my work prior to 2017.
Chain maille is an ancient art form originally used to create garments worn for protection by warriors in battle. Different regional pattern styles (weaves) were developed as the use of maille spread east from Europe. The use of maille armor has become obsolete due to changes in warfare and technology over the centuries. Modern approaches use these classical patterns of cold-connected jump rings for sculpture and jewelry. For these non-traditional applications, hundreds of new weave patterns have been (and continue to be) invented. These classic and modern maille weaves inspire the jewelry I create.
This photo gallery serves as a portfolio of my work. Many pieces are original designs. Each piece is individually made by hand; slight variations should be expected. Stones, beads and findings used are subject to availability. Your piece will be made to order (I do not keep an inventory). If you prefer a different metal type, color, finding type or embellishment, please inquire.
